Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

It was 1960; Kenny Youngblood was fifteen years old, sitting at the kitchen table and drawing his favorite subject: slingshot fuel dragsters. His mom walked by and said, Someday youll get paid for doing that. At the time, recalls Youngblood, I thought that was crazy; who would ever pay someone to draw dragsters? If youre into motor sports, youve probably heard his name; if youre not, youve probably seen his work. Youngblood is not only the most prolific artist in the field of motorsports art, but also its most significant pioneer. Kennys amazing career grew out of his own need for speed. Im a racer at heart says Youngblood, who, in the 1960s, built and drove two slingshot fuel dragsters of his own. After hand painting...
